Eating out in the US is fun and very enjoyable. The meals are generally well portioned in size, noticeably much bigger than the UK
whilst the service is usually very good, polite and comes with a smile. Breakfast deals are fantastic and so affordable, if you fancy eating away from
our home there are many restaurants to choose from
offering breakfast buffet deals as an economical choice, giving you a chance to fuel up before heading out for the day.
There's certainly is no shortage of restaurants and places to eat whilst staying in the Orlando area. Within 10 minutes of our home
you will find a number of restaurants suitable for family dining, however many families tend to venture further out to the more popular
places such as Downtown Disney, City Walk, International Drive or Pointe Orlando - your biggest problem will be which one will you choose!
Downtown Disney®
Downtown Disney is a firm favourite with families looking to extend their enjoyment after a fun-filled day at the theme parks. With over 15 bars & restaurants throughout the downtown area dining can be as casual as McDonald's, also know as "Ronald's Fun House", as entertaining as the Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant serving authentic Irish food and live entertainment, or as fun as the new T-Rex restaurant where life size dinosaurs welcome you to a prehistoric dining experience. There are also a number of well known themed restaurants such as Rainforest Cafe, Plant Hollywood and House of Blues as well as a number of other popular restaurants serving Sandwiches, pizzas, steaks, seafood and so much more. Please be aware that these restaurants are very popular, especially in peak season, so please be prepared to wait for table during busy periods!
Universal City Walk Orlando
Located right outside Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, City Walk is perfectly placed if you want to grab yourself a quick breakfast or snack as you make your way to the theme parks. Whether you want to take in a light lunch, enjoy a full course dinner or kick back with friends over late-night drinks, you can choose from a wide range of restaurants offering everything from fine dining cuisine to all-American burgers and fries. City Walk is definitely an unmissable experience, where else can you enjoy mouth-watering shrimps than at The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant & Market. International Drive
You could eat out every night for 6 months and still not eat in the same restaurant! International Drive is home to over 190 restaurants offering endless opportunities that make eating out an unforgettable part of any family vacation experience. Cuisine ranges from fast food options for those on the go, to fine gourmet restaurants for that extra special occasion. Choose from American, Brazilian, Caribbean, Chinese, Cuban, Indian, Irish, English, Italian, and Japanese... I think you get the picture, the choice is endless. You'll find all your favourites along I-Dive including TGI Fridays, Tony Roma's, Outback, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster to name just a few as well as the more casual yet popular diners such as Dennys and Perkins.
Pointe Orlando
Pointe Orlando is located just off International Drive and is becoming a popular attraction featuring a unique mix of shops, eateries and entertainment venues. Be in Havana by dinnertime. Visit the Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar for award-wining Latin cuisine, dancing and floorshows, whilst the 'nearly-world-famous' Hooter Girls will welcome you to sample Hooters legendary wings, seafood and sandwiches. The complex offers so much from, cafe bars, grills, pizza places, Greek taverna's as well as an ice cream factory, so it's definately worth a visit. With tropically landscaped promenades, open air seating and unforgettable architecture, Pointe Orlando is truly the ideal place for a bit of relaxation and enjoyment!

There is a number of Orlando dining experiences that combine food with family themed entertainment. These dinner show attractions put you and your family right in the middle of all the action. Not only do you get a great evening of family fun, you'll also be treated to a hearty multi-course meal & drinks representing great value for money. Popular shows attracting visitors from all over include the Arabian Nights dinner show, Medievel Times dinner and tournament, Pirates Adventures dinner show, sleuths and Makahiki Lauau dinner show. All of these shows can be booked in advance or when you arrive into Orlando, it is however advisable to book in advance to secure your place.
